Welcome to the Ballerdy pack

Our Story

Many years ago while playing paddleball along the Jersey Shore, Ann-Marie and Teresa created a new word: ballerdy. At first, it meant bird, just like the seagulls who wanted to join the game! However, over time, “ballerdy” has evolved into meaning so much more.

A ballerdy is someone who is kind to all living and non-living things. This includes people, animals, insects and even stuffed animals (also known as The Friendlies). To be a ballerdy, one must also adopt Ann-Marie and Teresa’s silly “language,” so to speak.

Their hope is that you will join the Ballerdy pack and that you will enjoy reading The Rescue Series, a collection of books about each of the incredible rescues that have enriched their lives, The Friendlies Series and the many other children’s books that will be added to this site. A percentage of their proceeds will be donated to support animals in need.
